Digestion Workshop ࿊ Part of The Resilient Health in Times of Change Online Workshop Series with Myra Avedon & Erik Bendix

We have gut feelings about things, a sense of knowing what we like or want. Sometimes these feelings are about what we want to eat, and then we reach toward that nourishment with our mouths. This reach is how we move toward continuing to live, an expression of the forward movement of our vitality. All other body systems are shaped around helping us get to food and drink.

Our digestion speaks a language of sniffing, tasting, chewing and swallowing, taking in to absorb or rejecting to expel. We ingest, digest and eliminate. Digestive organs have a mind of their own, and do not like to be pressured or rushed.

Do we give them the time and space they need?

They do the slow work to transform food we have eaten into life energy.

  • How do our digestive organs feel?
  • How do they relate to each other?
  • How do our inside contents balance with our outside layers?

Let’s chew on this together, and if we like what we find, we can savor it and swallow.
