About this Workshop
Our bones are alive. Halloween might persuade us otherwise, and book study of anatomy might not help bring them to life for us either, but our bones are busy inside us supporting our weight, healing from injury and generating our blood cells. Unlike the softer parts of us, bones thrive on stress. Forming a new relationship with our bones can help us overcome past trauma and give us a new lease on life. This experiential anatomy workshop is hands-on, full of movement, quiet and the sound of the human voice, which gets its resonance from bone. This is a great workshop if you are interested in learning what embodied anatomy is, or if you want to participate in your own healing from past injury or trauma. This would also be ideal for dancers, yoga practitioners, occupational therapists and others.
Join us for a day led by Erik Bendix, certified Teacher and Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering.
Who is this workshop for? Anyone who moves, or is curious about moving with more awareness or using movement as medicine! dancers, movers, yoga practitioners, movement/dance/yoga instructors, occupational therapists, fitness fans, athletes, and others.
